چکیده

One type of alternative fuel that has the potential to be developed and can contribute significantly NRE mix is biomass. The significance energy obtained from use co-firing system at Coal-Fired Power Plant (CFPP) by mixing coal with biomass such as sawdust. Sawdust cofiring material for CFPP very efficient because it content availability easy manage. aim this research make technical economic analysis sawdust solid pulverized Co-firing boiler. stages are mapping determine around location co-firing, analyze side specifications contained in raw materials suitability or feasibility specifications, developing processing technology cost production so later will not have a financial impact. results show business feasible NPV parameters > IDR 5,252,097,371, IRR=11.1% payback period=7.7 years. Provided if PLTU Rembang buys price Rp. 862,730/Ton. Sensitivity used steps optimize adjustment ability purchase where reference limit highest 782,006. Efforts made adjust include increasing yield 20% reducing wood 20%.

Energy Analysis of a Biomass Co-firing Based Pulverized Coal Power Generation System

The results are reported of an energy analysis of a biomass/coal co-firing based power generation system, carried out to investigate the impacts of biomass co-firing on system performance. The power generation system is a typical pulverized coal-fired steam cycle unit, in which four biomass fuels (rice husk, pine sawdust, chicken litter, and refuse derived fuel) and two coals (bituminous coal a...

Processing Woody Debris Biomass for Co-Milling with Pulverized Coal

The USDA, Forest Service, Forest Products Lab funds several grants each year for the purpose of studying woody biomass utilization. One selected project proposed removing small diameter stems and unmerchantable woody material from National Forest lands and delivering it to a coal-fired power plant in Alabama for energy conversion. The Alabama Power Company will test the utilization of the woody...

Ash Fouling Monitoring and Key Variables Analysis for Coal Fired Power Plant Boiler

Ash deposition on heat transfer surfaces is still a significant problem in coal-fired power plant utility boilers. The effective ways to deal with this problem are accurate on-line monitoring of ash fouling and soot-blowing. In this paper, an online ash fouling monitoring model based on dynamic mass and energy balance method is developed and key variables analysis technique is introduced to stu...

Quantification of radionuclides and associated radiological risk estimation of coal combustion residues from a South African coal-fired power plant

Background: Radionuclides occur in coal combustion residues, such as fly ash and bottom ash, which are by-products of coal combustion. They pose potential radiological risks to people present in the surrounding areas. Materials and Methods: Gamma spectrometry was performed to determine the radionuclide activity concentrations in a coal-driven power plant located in the Limpopo province, South A...
